Dust-proof Coatings
The constant commitment to improving the quality of ScreenLine® products, which represents the primary goal of Pellini S.p.A.’s technological research, has also led the company to benefit from advances achieved in the aerospace industry.
A special polymer-based coating, designed to reduce friction and noise and featuring a metallic color, is applied to the sliding area of the Venetian blind slats inside the insulating glass unit: it is in fact used as a treatment for the L-shaped side spacers.
The treated surface becomes smooth and easy-sliding, preventing foreign substances from adhering, while resisting abrasion, wear, low temperatures down to –30°C and high temperatures up to +200°C.
Humidity and UV rays do not cause changes in volume, damage, or weakening of the treated surface.
Specific tests (Fogging Test) have shown that, even under violent temperature fluctuations, the coating does not produce volatile components that could condense on the glass and compromise its transparency.
