Improved-Seal Corner Key
The corners of a spacer frame are notoriously the most critical points for gas and vapor sealing in insulating glass units. Closing the corners is entrusted to line operators and is carried out manually, making it difficult to certify. Moreover, it is time-consuming and slows down production.
This patented corner key eliminates the manual sealing phase in glassworks, avoiding human errors or omissions, reducing assembly times, and improving gas tightness.
The corner key features two grooves near the corner. These grooves contain butyl and are shaped so that it extrudes during assembly or insertion into the spacer. The butyl perfectly seals the entire internal perimeter between corner key and spacer, solving the most critical weakness in sealing.

ADVANTAGES:
- Perfect internal sealing of the spacer corner
- No manual corner sealing required
