Pellini has chosen Glasstec Düsseldorf, the leading international trade fair dedicated to the world of glass, as the ideal stage to unveil the latest innovations in the ScreenLine® range, the integrated shading system leading the market for over 30 years. From 22 to 25 October, an evocative and technology-focused stand will host multiple solutions for residential and commercial buildings, as well as several prototypes that, in the coming months, will evolve into real products to be included in the ScreenLine collection.
With a view to meeting the increasingly widespread demand for residential solutions, Pellini has developed SL16M, a motorised system for 16-mm airspace expanding the family of ScreenLine models that can also be used in small to medium-sized triple glazing (possibly in combination with another blind, e.g. a blackout blind) or for replacing, on existing windows, a simple double glazing unit with one equipped with an integral blind.
Another solution that will be previewed at Glasstec is the new Sliding blackout system for 20- and 22-mm cavity, designed chiefly for bottom-top operation with the aim of ensuring privacy in homes, schools and offices, at the same time allowing access from the upper part of the glass to the solar and light gains that are so precious during the colder months. This is an additional solution that will enrich the ScreenLine offer for bedrooms in private homes or accommodation facilities, hospitals and nursing homes, schools and any other environment where total blackout is required, and which visitors can view in the “Blackout Experience” area at the Pellini stand.
Alongside with the residential sector, the Pellini R&D department has focused on creating solutions that can meet the new design and sizing standards for the façades of commercial and high-rise buildings, including SL40MB, a motorised system with raising function up to 4 metres in height and capable of covering areas as large as 12 m2 in tilt-only mode. This is made possible by the use of brushless technology, whose reliability has been corroborated by the production of hundreds of thousands of units over the last ten years, as well as by components specifically designed to maximise the performance over time of an integrated shading system intended for the most prestigious and challenging projects. For similar applications, such as double-skin and ventilated/non-ventilated (CCF) facades, the Pellini range includes a Roller blind equipped with a brushless motor, already installed in several buildings and showcased in the stand in a mock-up module.
After about 10 years of development, Wave, the revolutionary shading system equipped with an ultra-thin polyester film encapsulated in the glass, will be introduced in the market, to complement the solutions available so far for ScreenLine systems (namely Venetian, Roller and Pleated/Pleated blackout). Currently offered for IG units having 20-mm or 22-mm airspace, Wave is a brilliant combination of stylishness and performance: its horizontal wave geometry provides a pleasant aesthetic impact, whilst the PVD coating reduces the solar factor to values as low as those typical of external shading even in case of double glazing (gtot <10%), making the system an effective alternative to roller shutters, compared to which it prevents the risk of header box-related thermal and acoustic bridges.
Designed for slope windows (from 0° to 90°) and showcased at Glasstec as a prototype, ScreenCloud is a motorised Venetian blind with tilt-only function that, when installed in winter gardens, verandas, skylights and various types of glass roofs, allows daylight to enter the room diffusely, thus ensuring living comfort and energy savings: the slats shield the light radiation whilst allowing the passage of natural light and maximising the view through with the outside.
Another special solution being showcased at the Pellini stand is ScreenView, whose control devices and finishes have been enhanced following the monitoring and privacy indications obtained from professionals in the field of hospital and partition walls.
Pellini’s stand at Glasstec will be transformed into a technological showcase, where visitors will be able to interact with the products and watch individual or group demonstrations of several new systems, including a virtual tour of a villa equipped with multiple ScreenLine solutions installed in different environments, testifying to their extreme versatility, or Pellini Assistant, an app entirely developed in-house which, exploiting artificial intelligence, provides valuable support in the choice of ScreenLine blinds and accessories, thus facilitating the supply chain's task in managing the most recurring aspects of the order (including the identification of the feasible dimensions of each model based on the glass cavity or thickness, or the selection of the most suitable accessories for each control requirement of motorised systems).
But the innovations will also and primarily be related to the product: visitors will have the opportunity to discover the ecosystem of accessories making up the ScreenLine Wise world, the clever system for controlling integral blinds also via smartphone, remotely or locally. A solution in which the ScreenLine by Pellini experience in the automation of integral blinds and the total integration between hardware and control logic results in accuracy and user-friendliness. It is also possible to upload pictures of different buildings, rooms or blinds to easily identify the ones to operate.
The prototypes of two types of slats will also be shown, which were designed for commercial applications and to meet the demand of architects and façade engineers in terms of colour rendering of the glass-blind system and energy efficiency of the building, achieved by retro-reflecting the incident solar radiation towards the sky.
It will also be possible to view a custom solution expressly developed for the railway field, with a shaped Venetian blind controlled by a special knob, which has passed the rigorous environmental vibration and transport tests required for railway applications.
For Pellini, the 2024 edition of Glasstec will also be the ideal occasion to celebrate an enviable milestone together with its customers: the company’s 50th anniversary. An exciting experience that gives us the opportunity to continuously improve and innovate our shading solutions and the privilege to contribute to the well-being of people wherever they are, at home or in the office, at school or in a hotel.
These are just some of the novelties that can be experienced live at the Pellini stand (Hall 11 – 11C70), while tasting a coffee or an aperitif served in the Pellini Lounge.
